Els peus fixats al terra delatant cap impaciència
The Feet Fixed to the Ground Betray No Impatience

Language: Catalan with optional English subtitles

The installation consists of a 1:1 wooden reproduction of a well-know bench and a video on a tablet. The video, filmed with a cellphone and a selfie stick, draws a choreography around the original bench in a public square in Barcelona. The resulting vision is multifocal, without defining any horizon line nor gravity point and establishes a modest but new universe of physical relations with the object. Meanwhile, a person rehearses gestures and postures around the bench while evoking its origins in Haussman's 19th century Paris and different ways of gazing at public space and its ongoing changes.
